Set between Brancaster and Thornham on the North Norfolk coast, No.1 The Hides benefits from sea views and an RSPB bird reserve to the front of the property, and extensive field views to the rear. You'll witness some of our well renowned 'big skies' and see many varieties of wildlife from the comfort of the lounge.
A flint-and-brick facade, a sage-painted door beneath an arched porch. Step through into a vaulted hallway washed in daylight from overhead skylights — the first breath of a house designed for calm.
Pale walls, warm timber floors, and linen in soft greys and oat. Oversized sliding glass opens the ground floor to the garden, so the boundary between inside and out dissolves with the tide.
A path leads to the beach in little over a kilometre. By day, the saltmarsh and the RSPB hides; by dusk, the terrace lanterns glow and the wood-fired oven is lit as the sky turns to indigo.

A truly special place. The house is even more beautiful than the photos suggest — light, calm, and thoughtfully furnished. We woke to birdsong every morning and walked to the beach before breakfast. We didn't want to leave.
No.1 The Hides is a little piece of heaven. The saltmarsh walks are spectacular, and coming back to such a warm, welcoming house after a day on the coast was perfect. The host's recommendations were spot on.
